I am really far behind on my celebrity gossip news. I pretty much only pay attention to celebrity-athletes like A-Rod and Tank Johnson. So I was definitely surprised to read that Tony Romo dumped Carrie Underwood... probably due to his 5 INT game against the Bills. But Carrie has moved on, now dating Nate from Gossip Girl. Romo is rumored to be going after Gossip Girl's Julie Cooper character.

Khannouchi runs 1:05 half marathon Last year he ran like a 24-something 8K and then a few weeks later ran a 2:07 marathon in London, so its impossible to predict how he will factor into the NYC trials other than the fact that one way or another, he will be a factor.

Word on the street (internet) is that Flotrack was denied press credentials for the champs by USATF. Thats crazy... "They say it is physically impossible to ride all of the Tour without drugs, but we prove them wrong this day."

Recommended Read:
Tim Layden on Alan Webb and Bernard Lagat - "You have been subjected to this recollection because it came crashing back into my brain late Wednesday night in the painful minutes that followed the final of the 1,500 meters on the floor of Osaka Nagai Stadium. Bernard Lagat, 32, the Kenyan expatriate who was competing in his first world championships as a U.S. citizen, won the gold medal with a withering sprint finish. He wrapped himself in an American flag and thanked God for blessing his life.

Webb finished a struggling eighth and flogged himself relentlessly. Ninety-two hundredths of a second separated them at the finish, a time too brief to speak either of their names, yet long enough to decisively -- if not irretrievably -- alter their place in track and field history. Lagat, already in possession of Olympic bronze (2000) and silver (2004) medals, is now a world champion and the first U.S. gold medalist at any global championship since Mel Sheppard at the 1908 Olympic Games. Webb is the fast prodigy who can't win medals. That's harsh medicine, but nobody knows its truth better than Webb." Keep Reading...

Complete Day 5 Results - Day 5 Photo Gallery

Bernard Lagat wins the 1500m - results Lagat ran another tactically perfect race. Dope boy, Ramzi, took the silver, while Alan Webb finished 8th, faultering down the homestretch.

Webb speaks: It was a colossal breakdown. I've changed nothing really. I thought I had more left than I did. I wish I could learn a lesson from that, but I learned nothing. I got nothing out of it. If I wanted to get seventh, I would have run for seventh and gotten seventh, or whatever the hell I got. I didn't come to get seventh, I came to get first. I didn't.

"You got fucking Abreu all of a sudden going 3 for 4 every night," Boston citizen Mark Baker said of the Yankees' recent surge. "Fucking Giambi's back. A-Rod's hitting 500 fucking home runs a night. Posada, that bastard. You got Matsui, who's a Red Sox killer. Then there's Shelley Duncan, who no one even heard of till three weeks ago.
